The Faculty of Sciences of Bizerte is a teaching and research institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It is attached to the University of Carthage. The Faculty of Sciences of Bizerte was created in 1990 (law n ° 106 of November 26, 1990). It contains several departments: Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, informatics and biology. In parallel with its teaching and training activities, the Faculty of Sciences of Bizerte has developed several lines of research that have contributed to its influence in its regional framework as well as at national and international level. The dedication of its teachers and research students has allowed the establishment of research laboratories welcoming people in research projects at the forefront of technological point of view and in direct correlation with the needs of the country in terms of sustainable development.

FSB participants will lead the WP1 together with HAO-DEMETER by collecting historical data, mapping, identification of drivers responsible of regime shits in the Cystoseira habitat and will contribute to WP3 by hosting a pilot joint action performing field works in selected sites; WP4 by assessing the effect and success of restoration actions for algal forest in term of ecosystem services provision; WP6 for dissemination; WP7 for Steering Committee.

Prof. Kais NAHDI (male) is the dean of the Faculty of Sciences of Bizerte (FSB). He became full professor at the University of Carthage. Her research was always multi-disciplinary and international oriented and focused on chemical products for various applications. Besides her engagement in a dean of faculty he is a researcher at the chemistry unit in the faculty to bring research into applications. His work provided several publications. He was the director of several Ph.D. theses and he contributes for several international projects.

Prof. Ezzeddine MAHMOUDI (male) is attached to the center of education and training (FSB), and research on marine environments (LBE). He is a biologist, specialized in studies of the coastal zone. His interest is directed towards the benthic biodiversity, especially their dynamic evolution with a particular interest in the issue of coast erosion. His work has been conducted in Mediterranean coast. He is member of the Scientific Committee of the FSB. He was the head of life sciences department. His work provided 79 publications. He was the director of 24 Ph.D. theses and he contributes for several international projects.

Prof. Hamouda BEYREM (male) is the director of Environmental Biomonitoring Laboratory at the Faculty of Sciences of Bizerte. He is a biologist specialized on meiobenthology and marine biodiversity. He is member of the pedagogical team of the Master and Theses of the University of Carthage. He contributes for several international projects. He is teaching since several years in Carthage universities and supervisor of master and doctorate students and researchers. His work provided 63 publications.

Dr. Badreddine SELLAMI (male) is a researcher and associate professor at national institute of marine sciences and technologies. He has a PhD in biology (both from Carthage University and university of college cork, Ireland). Dr. SELLAMI is an expert in responses of marine organism links to industrial activities and to environmental change. Dr. SELLAMI sits on the Editorial Board for the Materials Science: Materials Review. The research in her group is focused in the determination of the impact of several chemical in marine invertebrate. Dr. Sellami developed also kills in using mapping software in marine ecosystem.  His work provided 22 publications and he contributes to several national and international projects.

Dr. Amel HANNACHI (female) has a PhD in biology (from Carthage University, Faculty of Sciences of Bizerte). His research focuses on marine organism identification and control of environmental impact assessment. She developed advanced biological processes and control of emerging contaminants. In addition to the topics listed above, Dr. HANNACHI has published works on microbial and prokaryotes diversity in Tunisian coast. Dr. HANNACHI is active in the sampling and identification of algae species
